His script was very well written with a selection of MBA program vocabulary. His speech was smooth with very genuine pronouciatioin and accent, himself growing up in Canada.

Today I come back to Hong Kong to stand before you and account for myself.

I will never escape from my responsibility. During the past few weeks , I have been with my mother, and my family and loved ones to show support and care , and at the same time , have their support and care for me.

I admitted that most of the photos being circulated on the internet were taken by me. But these photos were very private and have not been shown to people and were never intended to be shown to anyone. These photos were stolen from me illegally and distributed without my consent . There is no doubt whoever obtained these photos have being uploading among the internet with malicious and deliberate intent. This matter has deteriorated to the extent that the society as a whole has been affected by this. And in this regard , I am deeply sad.

I would like now to apologize to all the people for all suffering that has been caused and the problems that have arisen from this . I would like to apologize to all the ladies and to all their families for any harm and hurt that they have been feeling . I am sorry. I would like to also apologize to my mother and my father for the pain and the suffering that I have caused them during these past few weeks.  Most importantly , I would like to say sorry to all the people in Hong Kong. I give my apology sincerely to your all unreservedly and with my heart.

I know young people in Hong Kong look up to many figures in our society. And in this regard , I failed as a role model . However, I wish this matter will teach everyone a lesson .To all the young people in our community , let this be a lesson for you all. This is not an example to be set for you.

During my time away, I have made an important decision . I will wholeheartedly fulfill all  commitments that I have today  . But after that , I decided to step away from the Hong Kong entertainment industry. I decided to do this to give myself an opportunity to heal myself and to search my soul. I will dedicate my time to charity and community work within the next few months . I will be away from Hong Kong entertainment indefinitely . There is no time frame .

I have been assisting the police since the first day the photos were published . And I will continue to assist them . After this press con (conference), I have obligations to help them with their investigation and hope that this case can end soon , as everyone , I think , has the same wish. I would like to use this opportunity to thank the police for their hard work on this case. Thank you.

I believe everyone's priority now, my priority now is to stop the suffering and pain for not letting this….. , we do not want to let this situation become more out of control. We need to protect all the innocent and all the young from matters like this. In this regard , I have instructed my lawyer to do everything possible within the law to protect all the innocent victims of this case. I believe that the prayer statement has been issued as we speak on what my lawyers had advised me to do .

Lastly I would like to thank everyone for coming here today and listening to what I have to say . I would like to also apologize , once again , to all the ladies and their families my family and to everyone in Hong Kong and everyone in our society. I am deeply sad
by this , and I apologize that everyone has had to go through this.

I would like to also thank you for giving me an opportunity to say what I wanted to say all along in my heart . I hope after today, I can have your forgiveness.

With regard to this case , everything that has happened , I am deeply sorry. [Long Pause] I hope you all would accept my apology and give me a chance . Thank you.

Went to meet Luke Xu today. Had delayed and postponed the biannual sharing session for weeks. Finally I made up my mind to go and visit as well as to gather some updates.

 

This fella has date now and requested me to see him all the way from my home to Wai Gao Qiao free trade zone (no time on Saturdays dedicated to gf, and Sunday is his working days when he has time in the pm. Sigh. And I am impressed that he is a typical Shanghainese bf that he spent more than 1k yuan for the V Day on his gf. Give the salary, he is a generous and genuine guy.)

 

Having had an understanding that I would not disturb his work, I hit the road to see his renowned company as well as to take a glance of my dream company 3M (it is right aross and also huge). But I can not imagine myself working in such a lonesome middle of nowhere place. I enjoy Tomorrow Square location more indeed. hah...

 

It is indeed impressive to see the small humanized designs around the facilities. What impressed me first is the double doors- two layers of doors to ensure energy saving. There are hallways where gallary of Intel people are displayed along the wall. There is a gym together with pingpong tables. There is sheltered passage for all weathers where stuff can go through from reception lobby to their office area. There are huge canteen with Family Mart that sells cheaper than market rate food. And during my chat with Luke and sharing materials, I noticed there was an alarm sounding the Intel commercial sound 'deng deng deng deng'. It turned out to be a reminder of 'time to stretch'. Luke introduced that there is this Ergo software that is installed in their computer that has multiple functions such as world time zones/ time to stretch and demo, etc. And in the meeting room, there was the reminder on the table for people to use 'mouse' instead of the navigator button, in order to minimize finger joint injury. And Luke told me, on and off there will be high management people waiting at one of the staircase to see if any employee is using handrail when climbing stairs. For those who do, they will hand out FamilyMart redemption coupons as reward, for reduced accident where people knock their knees and get injured when running or rushing up and down the stairs. I was indeed impressed by the small details apart from their tight security, for example, I as a visitor need to be escorted all times by Luke;There is rotation doors made of iron that permits entry only upon tapping the access card; there is photo access card which allows the holder to use camera, etc.

 

And it is coincident that I was reading Ryn Rand a bit on the train - the sampler of her works including "The Fountainhead","The Virtue of Selfishness 'Man's Rights'", etc., which highlights human rights and America as the first moral country in this regard. I immedicately got a live example when I was showed around the Intel plant.

I think Luke is lucky to be able to work with Intel and get up quite well along the years.

 

I shook hands with him and said thanks for showing me around and sharing a lot of training materials (management skills, efficient communication between subordinate and supervisors 'MOST', good planning 'ZBB', etc.) and hopped on the bus he checked for me on line (again they have online shuttle management for shuttle bus services.)

 

BUT I hopped on the wrong bus! I was not looking outside when playing with my cell phone. When the driver told me that we had reached the terminal, I realized I ended up in Bao Shan. I had to walked some distance to Metro Line 1 and came home late... I called Luke to inform him the big joke he played on me. But as always I said to him "ji lai zhi, ze an zhi' literally, ' accept it with peace when it happens'.

Just watched it. Once first scene came out, I realized I had watched it years back when it was boardcast on TV. I was deeply impressed by then but since I watched it from half way I could not remember the exact name of the movie.

 

Revisiting this great movie was wonderful experience and years later, today I find it easier to follow in terms of the language.

 

It got me crying. I am wondering what have I been doing. CS shared this great movie with me before CNY and I did not watch it until today! Good movies are to be reviewed. Now I understand why CS likes to collect DVDs...

 

I will go to bed recalling and reflecting on the great inspiring words Andy said in the movie.

On a side note, it contains great slangs and a lot of authentic foul language that reminds me of DHL. LOL 

 

Btw, I just checked online, it is a 1994 production. Goodness no wonder I think I really watched it MANY years back.

Susan shared ECS Annual Party with me. It is hilarious! TN is so high and funny as usual. It is heart warming to see RS and ST again. We were a good team. I am very thankful to them forever... A lot of things to recall before I fall asleep today.

Just now was having a chat with SN. He seems a bit blue/less active and smiling than before CNY.

And T. was saying that we need to fix the MaTong (toilet bowl). So he is asking is it portable? I said no it is genearlly not in use anymore if it is the portable wood one. But it is still seen in old township like somewhere near Cheng Huang Temple.

Then he said:  yes I see it every day when I am riding a bike. And 我最大的害怕是when I am riding my bicycle I crash into the马桶。It was just so funny to hear a lao wai saying that with Chinese and English and funny face.

Friday is a tedious day- physical fatigue but you still need to sit straight to work hard. And Weekly report is to be produced!!!!

Had bad vomit on my way home last night. This has not happened in a while in the past few months. I had a headache when I was in the office... Ying did some head gua sha for me and I felt better and decided to go to GYM to take some of the stress out. Well, supposedly I am happy woman but subconsciously I have a lot of things unresolved, like Ying said - that way I always will have the headache.

 

So I worked out when SM joined me. He is indeed healthy, doing all the pulling and stretching I do not understand the mechanism behind. He explained to me this is to exercise this part of the muscle and that is for that area that is prone to be inactive due to its location. I have to say sedentary life or active lifestyle is a matter of choice. If you choose to be lazy and inactive, you will end up living a old life with mobidity and pains.  Dr. M and Dr. L are both great examples of great determination and self-discipline to create a healthy life. I see the shining points in them - sense of justice (Dr. S has tracked down a few pickpockets after learning about my loss of wallet and cell phone.), compassion towards people (they would give generoulsy to those who are perform on the street.), dedication to work (work overtime and willingness to do health talk out of their free time), as well as great personality to be a great listener to friends. I am glad I have Dr. M as a good friend. We share our deepest secret and he mentor me on life's experiences and thinks for my best.

 

I was with him all the while when he was doing the small exersises for the upper body, sitting on the bench reading magazine when he did the movement with dumb bells. After a while, he came up to me and did wonderful back and neck massage for me. That is flattering and sweet. Guys stared at me. Who is this lucky girl? hahha... Dr. M is funny- "hey look at that guy in white top." which one? "That one?" Why? "Not bad huh?" Hey, I am not intersted; I am not here for guys.

 

So we faced the mirror and he gave me that great loving smile of a friend when his deft but powerful fingers were excerting precise but theraputic strength round my shoulder and neck and spine. I felt the warmth flowing in my heart. We love massage/cuddle/hug/body contact that conveys warmth and love and that is not nessary sexual. That is why I saw Dr. K and gave him a big hug downstairs in the lobby. And the girls said Lao Khoo likes you- hahah just because I am patient and willing to listen to him, his small problems, his proud life experiences, and his small worries.

 

Over dinner at Pizza Hut after gym workout, Dr. M. said 'Jo, how are you? I am worried about you.' So I consulted him on my personal emtional problems. And he gave me a straightforward simple answer with his sharp insights and life's experiences. Why do you wait then? Yes C. S said the same thing. Since I am not attached to anyone, I am free to go out with anyone. The trick is asking for a seperate room. Funny. Sure that is the key. Sometimes we girls need to set the rules and that is not 'hard to get' games but excitement of anticipating. Once everthing is unveiled and naked, it could be so bland and boring sometimes?

 

When I was vomitting last night after waving goodbye to Dr. M who sent me to the MRT gate and who waited until I went out of sight, nobody came up to ask after me. It was terrible feeling. It was so windy after I got out of underground. I felt dizzy and sick. I held it as I walked until a sudden surge from the stomach. I squatted besid e the road and puked like hell. Men passed by and walked on. I think of the song- "Another day in paradise. "

 

So today I am home on medical leave. Wrote a lot and Read a lot. Now I am setting out to see my cute nephew Qiu Qiu. Just a mission. Life is so fun if you create it.
