邮票是纸制的，主要制造成分是植物纤维及胶质，属于有机质。在潮湿高温的环境下，极易发霉、虫蛀。邮票若在这湿热不通风的环境下（如在江南梅雨季节），极易受感染而生霉，出现黄斑。所以邮票要置于橱柜顶层和干燥通风处，但不能过于干燥，否则邮票纸质会脆化，邮票会卷曲受伤；也不能过于潮湿，这样会使邮票粘住。这两种损坏是渐近的，其中潮湿的损坏更大。邮票长时间受到日光灯或阳光照射，票面本身就会酸化变黄，会发生颜色减退或变色。这是由于日光灯或阳光中有紫外线的缘故。邮票又需要空气，因此邮票不宜长期放在玻璃板下或放在镜框中欣赏。不要把几本很重的邮册重叠着堆放一起，要把它们并排立在书橱中，中间留出空间，不要让其互相挤压。并放置一些防潮剂，远离煤气和含硫质气体、化学药物等，避免纸质邮票与其发生化学反应，使邮票受到损伤。

 

 

邮票完好保护需要的周边环境，包括温湿度等宏观环境和邮票周围的微观环境。以下因素可能导致邮票的损坏：

　　温湿度 较为合适的为15－25℃和50－65％湿度，且需恒定。南方潮湿，一定要将邮册放在阴凉通风而干燥的地方。梅雨持续时间太长，湿气会慢慢被物品吸收，没有层层的保护，是难以抵挡的。最好使用空调，或天气良好的情况下通风干燥。北方则要注意干燥。过分干燥会让邮票脱水卷曲变形，同样是不可逆转的。

　　氧化 氧气无处不在，比控制温湿度难得多。鉴于书籍发黄是从暴露面积最大的页边缘开始的，邮票应让其他替代品与氧气接触。替代品材质也要长时间保持稳定。不稳定的纸张如报纸、复印纸等要避免与邮票放在一起。

　　光线 长时间强光照射会加剧氧化，导致油墨和纸张变色。阳光下曝晒更是万万不可。

　　霉菌 霉菌有很多种，表征不一样，合适生存环境也各异，一般在温度25℃和湿度65％以上繁殖发展迅速。纸张、背胶、油墨都可能成为霉菌的养料。霉菌通过相互接触或媒介（如尘埃，护邮用品）传播，因此要注意隔离已发霉的邮票，而不管它有多珍贵。不同版别的邮票染上霉菌后的性状不一样。影写版一般不明显体现出来，一旦非常严重，霉斑会迅速穿透整枚邮票。这样的邮票千万不可以购买。胶版邮票会在背胶或者油墨上出现一层浮尘状的霉粉，这种状况在1989年至今的胶版邮票普遍出现。出现霉斑的邮票一定要隔离处理，编年邮票相当便宜，最好是重新买一套。雕刻版抗霉能力最强。

　　密封 密封层次分好几级，对邮票、邮册、箱子等。一些集邮教科书主张将邮票密封保存，有将护邮袋用烙铁密封甚至使用照片塑封的方式，相反有人则认为应透气———将潮湿物品密封起来将是一场灾难。应辩证地对待，维持平衡状态是主旨。邮票不需要氧气呼吸，也不释放气体，但密封会带来一系列问题，如水、气的交换，营造出不良的小环境，要综合考虑种种影响因素。希望使用密封邮票方法保存的集邮者提供实际应用效果的第一手资料。笔者不提倡对邮票进行密封，但赞成邮册、箱子密封，它可以防止各种外界因素的干扰，且容易控制密封内的环境状况。

　　动物破坏 红蚂蚁、蠹虫、蟑螂、老鼠等动物的破坏方式不一样，但都是致命的。

　　空气污染 空气中各种有害的气、液、固体都对邮票造成侵蚀，如房间的异味、大气污染等。灰尘是最大的敌人，不仅玷污邮票，而且会带入霉菌。杜绝灰尘杂物进入邮册。使用各种化学物品是绝对不允许的。

　　压力集邮册横放，数本层层叠叠压在一起，这是初集邮者的通病。压力会使邮票发生粘连，一定要竖放邮册。

　　人为损坏 如触摸邮票、损坏齿孔、磨擦、折痕、镊子损伤、跌落尘埃等等。

Today I went to have a makeover of my hair-perm the lower part to create some big feminine curls. But it seems not so successful. The curls are smaller than expected, as always. Never mind I will remain confident.

 

The other day the guys were group talking while I was dragged in to join them by someone. Heee... It was nice feeling to get involved after being so silent. Dash said: Hey you hurt my feelings (Kidding). We talked well and once you land in Shanghai, you never contact us good old friends. What is wrong with you lah~~~'. Hee, maybe because 1) I do not think it is nice to invite proactively male friends for an outing eps. those handsome, already booked ones. :P 2) I fell out of love quite recently and what a contrast/psychological impact to hear them call their honey "old man" and "old wife'...3) I am a fundamentally responsible person who wants "bitterness first followed sweetness", which means I always have a mission on my mind to land on a good job first before I totally slack off my nerves to indulge a bit.

Somehow it was a good timing. I got my job and the guys pulled me in for the discussion. I did not think twice and agreed to meet those hunk ex-schoolmates the next day (yesterday). After all the butterflies perched somewhere in my stomach, I could really let my hair down and relax!

 

I went to see Yuan LiFeng, my new old friend in ECNU in the am for some coffee and lunch. 他写了一个jojo(jojo: 今天下午终于有幸目睹并感受了远渡重洋回来的jojo美女的高挑身材和迷人魅力，听说了不少成功人士的情感故事，学了很多的英文单词，收获相当的大。总体印象是：jojo is a entreprenant charming woman who has eyes to find beauty。) I am very amused by his description of me...politically wrong!!!  Anyway, It was good to relieve a lit bit of  the pressure and unpleasant thinking to a friend like him, who is certainly nice-tempered and easygoing. The scenery in the campus was soothing to all the senses! I am glad I did not need to go all the way to those other cities or scenic spots to appreciate the spring of JiangNan. The vast grassy land called 'The Grassland of Love' was finally seen. And numerous locations on campus reminded me of how they got the saying: Love in ECNU. After one lake you see another, with rippling surface. There are standing lamp poles along the river, which I saw on the Singapore River as well. Students are walking around, with books in the arms, or with some pail, probably for the public shower room, or swimming pool. Some were on the bicycle and others are sitting comfortably sitting in their cars. The image of the comtemporary university students- vibrant, ambition full written in the faces, and confident! But Yuan told me still there were people jumping off the edu. hall and made sad news. Pressure and relationship failure are to blame. But what is more precious than life?? If you see those upbeat smiling faces of the young people on the campus you will think twice! Heee....just got worked up to think of those who want to commit suicide in their prime time---it is cruel to themselves and to the loved ones, esp. the parents!... We left our footprints all over the campus (outside the buildings) and I am happy to see the hall for the famous department dedicated to promot Chinese culture and literature to the world. If I were younger I would probably jump in the study and work as an UN worker to promote my country and its civilization! We then took a excersion in the Chang Feng Park. It is free-admission with layers of greenery in the best time of a year. It conjures imagination of the courts in SuZhou, which is world famous...Of course my imagination is always vivid. :-.) Sometimes too vivid~ I saw the colors of spring and old couple walking hand in hand, young mother playing inflated plastic balls with kids, and young men and women jogging around in this picturesque place, in the heartland of the city...life could be so relaxing! But how long will this last for me since I am to return to the workforce again! It is always good to work hard and enjoy the fruit of sweat and efforts every now and then. Better still is to retire younger than average to enjoy life more thoroughly before we have to walk with support... We said goodbye at the bus stop and next stop is Superbrand Mall to meet my long time no see hunks~!! haha...

 

So around 5pm, I hopped on the bus to Zhongshan Park and took the Metro Line 2 to Lu Jia Zui, my favourite leisure area in PuDong. In the morning I have got the sms from Bear that we would have the pizza for dinner followed by some tea session on the Riverside Promenade or karaoke in Holiday. I was talking to my future boss on the cell while crossing the zebra lines while TJ walked up to beside me and said HI! And he was quite amused by the way I talk Madarin, commenting that I am so Taiwan/HK accented. Heee... It is inevitable after living with those people in Singapore. Then Dash called and TJ joked with him---I see you later, I have a HongKong girl with me today. hahah... And Dash called me again saying where you are after their talk and I said Hey I am with TJ! It was soooo delightful talks only between good friends. Again, it proves the belief- good friends are always there for each other, regardless of time and space. And we took the escalator one floor after another until 8th stoery---which I never knew about until that day, coz' I always stop at floor 5. But later I realized I watched a movie there in Nov. 2005. ---Myth (ShenHua). Hee. So we walked passed Popular bookstore and were happy to see ZJJ, the groom-to-be in June, standing there smiling to recieve us. He had booked the table for us all. He is as charming as before, tall with 'peachblossom' eyes. haha... He is surprisingly the first to get married among us. He was chased by so many girls! Still remember in high school days, he once held me hand to show me a beautifully decorated/written blackboard. That was the first time a guy held my hand. But I bet he has forgotten. I still have a letter from him. LOL...and now I am so happy he first will settle down among us all. TJ and I sat down and he gave me comment--you are more and more feminine le mah...hahaha... Then again, WinJay came in, dressed in Zara jackect he and I chose together the other day after dinner. Nowadays, all the little boys have grown into charming young guys--TJ successfully reduced weight and looks very smart;WinJay stands tall and professional, with his signature serious expression; :) Bear followed WinJay, and as always, he looks a good behaving nextdoor boy, with some shy lip smacking (small)/biting, and skull stretching postures--really bearish and never-grown-up. Dash, undeniably, the most handsome and blessed looking guy, came in with his sweet dimple and princely dressing style (and the girlfriend Fancy is exactly as I imagined---very petite and cute); HC walked in and gave me a fresh idea about goatee, it is so stylish and fits in his character-somewhere indifferent and cynical? Frankly I am not close with him (and the girlfriend who is a kindergarden teacher is so princessly-dressed with curly hair--virtually a big doll!); So we sat down and ordered numerous dishes to share. Fancy and TJ sat beside me and Fancy's vibrant style really moved me--no wonder she is such a jovial girl! TJ was constantly teased by the guys for the waist line. And the sweet couples made all the single people there on the desk so envious with their only-you-in-my-eyes eye expressions to each other and occassional small pecks on the face. Hee... Dash said he would be the Xin Lin Hua Yuan for me once he sees me to help heal the heart falling out of love. But ayiaaaa, once we have our one and only beside us, we forget about the world!...And on the other hand, it is no point to talk about anything personal/sentimental on that happy occassion... Soon the dinner ended with all the dishes empitied. I feel dinner with friends are much better than with myself! We proceeded to Holiday in the Next Age, as TJ has booked a big room for 11 of us. well, as I saw it I feel Shanghai really is superior than Singapore in a way. The frontage of the Holiday is so well designed making the guests very high-spirited with its cheerful colors and lighting.The staff there are very professional and friendly. We went into a room which appearantly is newly rennovated--very cozy, classy and high-tech with a big big LCD TV, and touch screen song queueing system at the corner. So we sat back to enjoy those good-voiced like ZJJ, Dash, Fancy, and WinJay. The first song is Tomorrow I am going to marry you---dedicated to those who are attached. It is a sweet song and I feel the guys are sooo sweet to sing it with their girl friends! And they went on, it was really fun when they sang the song Strip by Alex Du---very amusing when the guys shouted at the mike with exciting body movement...haha... Anyway during Karaoke, I was quite moved by one song the guys sang by Shin:

 

Several foreigners enjoy the sunshine yesterday at Shanghai's People's Square while locals cover up as the temperature topped 30 degrees Celsius. The mercury will remain high at least until the weekend, making the advent of summer a virtual certainty this week and ushering in the city's earliest summer in 100 years.
