很有意思的一段描述，摘录下来，每年看一遍。 8月29日 Healthy Lunch with DoctorToday we went to New York University in Shanghai. 60 students were there for the Orientation. We were invited to have our doctor talk on Living Heathliy in Shanghai.
We were a bit late due to the rain as well as the driver who took a roundabout because we were all speaking English, Dr. S. being the American, and Alex being Maxican. I am on the other hand, stupidly spoke mandarin, as I usually do to the driver. I really resent those people who take advantage to gain some little things. He will not be rich doing business this way... Sigh...why people can not do business with integrity neh?
So we were late and quickly Dr. S. took over the mike and amused the students. Standing at the back of the hall room, I felt a bit envious of the students a lot of them are of Chinese race- very healthy looking and very ambitious NYU students... Then I went up to brief the students of our facilities and I really took a deep breath that they were not freaked out by my half Singlish. Johanna thanks us for our excellent help and service and we came back.
Dr. S. helped me to send the materials leftover back to the store and waited for me to have a lunch together. It was eye opening. As a M.D. fromo the USA, he does not eat meat, fried vegetable, or even dessert! No coffee, no sugar in the black tea. He eats fruit first before main dishes. He rides bicycle to Pudong one hour one way. He teaches at gym power yoga twice a week. He said young girls in Shanghai are over doing it with cosmetics and those nails things. Spend more time on healthy body building! He said he reads book before bedtime and stay vegeterian for 10 years.
He proceeded to go to Science museum after lunch and I came back to the clinic to work. I had a healthy and learning lunch with our doctor. I think that is a very healhty and enriching life style he is enjoying! Doctors are rich but they are just common guys on the street, wearing well washed Tee with a old backpack on the back. Vegetable and bicycle. A lot of reading every day. Those people are most lovable. I wish I were a doctor too after working with doctors. 8月4日 I Am Sorry to be A Heart-breaker ...I just woke up from a 'painful' rest due to bad migraine. And I am fine now. And when I turned on my cell phone, I got quite a few messages and felt a bit pressure and thus the urge to write something here, implicitly or explicitly, to state my status. -JOJO
I am staying in Shanghai, permanently, or at least for a long time. And to date, it is confirmed. 下周一开始要工作了。KOWTOW to the God... I will do a good job, and not to be a let-down.
And I now have a very motivating and strong reason to stay on, be happy and good, and not to return.
And in Shanghai, while my staying on may look a good news to many, but I need to say that I have settled down my heart faster than ever expected myself. I am really sorry to many who care so much about me.
But I can only please one person in the world, other than myself and my parents.
I do not like to play hard to get and I do need love. Mutual love and care means true love. Whoever approaches me with quick action and sincere mind will win. I appreciate that style and I will cherish and try to keep the flame. Life is all about a choice and sticking to it.
Why Why Why? hahaha... 我比较喜欢英文好的男孩子, as always。。。哈哈哈。。。and many more reasons like Horse and Dog, Good Temperaments When with Me, (I love you for who I am when I am with you? I heard about it in middle school but only realize its meaning today.), and most importantly appreaciating My style to the largest and detailed extent. But it is all natural and even it is gone with the wind some day I will cherish for a life time. To me, you are the best too! And to you, hopefully you will always think that it is the luckiest thing to have 'found' me in this wide world.
